Kathryn (Kat) Barrow
For the past several years, I've worked hard to continually learn and grow both personally and professionally and want to help others do the same. For some time now, I've known I wanted to expand my services to reach and help more people.
As a mental health clinician, it's increasingly clear to me that the general public is experiencing an unprecedented mental health crises. Resources are limited and often too expensive.
I've worked hard to create simple, convenient, and affordable education and tools to support others, not only with their mental health concerns but their relationships as well. My faith told me that if I could equip others with the skills, tools, and knowledge to understand themselves and others, I could positively impact the lives of many.
To get where I am today took hard work, perseverance and dedication. I earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree from the University of Montana and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Walla Walla University. Following this, I obtained my license in clinical social work (LCSW) then began working primarily with children and adolescents, in the Flathead Valley. After three years working for agencies and feeling like I wasn't "doing enough", I decided to take a leap of faith and open my very own private practice. Since then, I have made it my mission to follow my heart and passion for helping people overcome their trauma so they live happier and more fullfilling lives.
This began my journey for creating and launching and offering more effective therapeutic services. I recently completed my academic studies at the Hypnotherapy Professional College and. am now offering new and enhanced hypnotherapy services that allow clients more effective results in a shorter amount of time, with greater long-term success
I will soon be transitioning to utilizing this modality primarily as it has proven to be a far greater asset to my clients and their overall mental health stability.
Together, my clients and I work toward increasing knowledge, learning new and more effective tools, identifying triggers, processing and releasing negative core beliefs and emotions, learning positive coping skills and incorporating mindfulness into their daily lives. These skills and more are provided in the therapeutic services I offer; allowing my clients a deeper dive into processing their trauma and negative core beliefs that hold them back from reaching their full potential.
